I don't have much spare time for gaming. This weekend however, I was lucky enough to extensively play not one, but two games. If XBox'es had a soul, mine would be happy.

- Fahrenheit / The Indigo Prophecy. I had started this one some time ago, and left it halfway or so. Tonight I finally finished it (at 6:30AM :P). I'd describe it as a third person action adventure, but it would be more correct to call it an interactive movie: it's basically a sequence of scenes, each centered around the main characters of the story, and in each scene you control one of these characters, which sometimes act against each other. In other words, playing means deciding the course of actions, and you can purposely fail some tasks in order to see how the story evolves from that (there are like tens of endings). The interface brings some innovation: in order to perform actions you have to use gestures, instead of button presses. The story is quite good, even if towards the end it gets somewhat rushed and leaves some gaps (end of money?). On the down side there are some sequences which require you to play double Simon with your analogic sticks, or Decathlon/Track&Field with your L/R triggers. Which is gay.

- Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Yes, I still had to play the third chapter. I don't know if I like the further enhancement of the control scheme, there was a giant step between SoT and WW, but speed attacks are not what I expected, they work automatically and you just have to hit the button at the right time (not to speak about the time window to hit the button, which is huge at normal level). I haven't gone much far, just 'till the first dark prince tranformation, but the story seems interesting and chains with the previous chapter with a sensible time-paradox device, even if it's not really seamsless unless you have seen the second ending to WW. Playing is fun, even if it feels a bit tougher than WW, but what really leaves me not fully satisfied is that the 1001 Nights mood is gone. The same happened with WW, which was even worse in this (what's up with the metal soundtrack?!?!), but I really can't forget how much more "persian" the SoT palace looked, compared to the other two games. Nevertheless, the PoP trilogy are some of the best games I've played lately, and I'd recommend them to anyone.

That is all, I just wanted to share some game experience.

Fahrenheit was awesome....before the roller coaster part. After that, it went down hill pretty fast. I don't mind the matrix bites but they just went too far....

There are just three, which are decided in the last 5 minutes of gameplay. And they are damn near identical, expect for the tone and the "who wins in the end" shit.

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

Since it's more story-based than win-based, I was considering "endings" what should be more properly called "game overs", like when Lukas goes insane, gets killed or put in jail and so on. What I like is that almost every time Lukas comments on the event, connecting with the intro, where everything is told as a story which has already happened (cheap device, I know).

But ok, the true endings are the three where different parties "win".

My friends and I still use that line all the time. Good game.

I'm suprised you guys didn't bring up the humping scene though. It's pretty much what GTA hot coffee got in trouble for, and no one ever said anything about it. For those who haven't played it, if you say the right things to your ex-girlfriend you get to use buttons to time your thrusting. Yep.
