Yeah, i have been on a real 8 bit kick lately. I was on vacation for the last 20 days, and in said time, i finished pretty much all of my 8bit games (no roms, no save-state, just plain old-school button mashing), with the infamous exception of Ninja Gaiden III (Jap) and Ikari Warriors (Usa) on the NES, Black Belt, Wonder-Boy III on SMS.
Now, in this retro-voyage, i got to discover some really fun games, i have never seen before :
B-Wings for NES : A fun little shooter, where you fly a space ship. Really cool weapons system (especially for the time) and creative backgrounds and layout for such a small game (it is mapper #0, i think)).
Hyper Olympics for NES : 2-player, button mashing love, right here. REally simple, almost atari like, but with classic 8 bit looks and sound. Me and friend, must have spent at least 10 hours on this 4 games-game.
Other NES GEMS include : Mag Max (wtf?, fun shooter), Geimos , Super Dynamix Badminton and others.
A friend bought a 106-in-1 cart. With some of these games on. And i bought a 49-in-1 cart with the rest of it.
On his 106-in-1 there´s a Contra version. No konami logo. And with konami code always enabled. Weird, but not even close as weird as my 4-in-1 hacked pokemon cart for nes. heh.
Anyyyyway, anyone on a 8bit kick lately ? Have some stuff i might consider playing ?
And hopefully not even HALF as hard as Castlevania I ?
