Between the story and the art, the bosses, even the voice acting I had forgotten just how solid this game was. IGN rated it best PS2 game of all time, I have to agree completely.

It's a shame that the DVD is comes on can just stop working for whatever reason. I had an original pre-order and I and two friends we able to beat it. Then my third friend tried, and for some reason the game stopped working on all our PS2's after that, even though it was in mint condition to the naked eye.

So I had to get a burned copy to finish the game just like I did with San Andreas. I don't know if my PS2 is just crap or what (it's a fat boy from 2001) but it just didn't like GTA:SA and God of War.

Makes me worry about God of War 2 not working or something...

Still, I believe there's some options for slimline users in the form of an HDD mod. I'd google it but staples has intranet banning and all. It's surprising I can still even access this website.

You'd think a place that sells ps2's would allow you to google info about them.

I'm actual a technical writer now, and just saw a $24/hour contracting job for someone on base (I assume since it requires militray clearance) just yesterday at careerbuilder. I might give it a shot , so then I'd be down there a lot.

That'd be pretty killer if you got that job for reasons that I'm not about to put on the internet for google to find out.
