I picked this up for $8 used at Gamestop. What a friggin' deal. This game is terribly short but it's a blast. By far the best use of scaling 2d sprites for the GBA and makes me yearn for GBA ports of Thunderblade and Afterburner. At first it seems difficult but once you get used to it and memorize a few patterns (and a few really poor boss AIs) you will easily defeat it. A worthy successor to Gunstar.

Yah it looked and sounded pretty but didn't bring much to the table in gameplay that hadn't already been before, and was longer at that time. I got it a few years back for $20 and ditched it as it didn't keep me entertained.

TO each their own I guess, but the Genesis one I liked enough.

$10 at either place. Picked up a copy a while back but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I loved the first game, especially co op.

I had some issues with flights last week because I was getting away for some vacation. I guess what surprised me the most was that I wasn't expecting much and it ended up at least being a very polished continuation of the original game. Gameplay wise it's nothing that hasn't been done since 1986 but for shear aesthetic pleasure it did the trick in my travel boredom.
