They just released a patch for the EU version (US isn't out yet) and playing this game now is like Night and day its actually better than the ps2 port gc port imo. (That new Wii Version however looks like its going to be awesome though!)

Now i can finally attemp to play this thing without vomiting.

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

I'm having difficulty patching Asian to Euro so I might just wait for the pirated US release which I suspect would already be patched.

Thank God they released a damn patch. I'm actually impressed that they fixed it because I really wouldn't expect that much work to be done on a PC port of a console game.

"Many of you may have problems with patching the Asian version of resident evil 4 (biohazard 4) 'cause the oficially patch refuses to install.

Here's a little guide I made

1 So first of all install Biohazard 4, full install

2 Then download the asian to european patch, and install it (not official, found via google)

3 After that, it will create a EXE-ORIGINALE folder in your game directory, with the original exe in it. Copy the original exe from that EXE-ORIGINALE folder to the main folder which will overwrite the one updated with the patch.

4 Go to your start menu->run->regedit, the go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CAPCOM\biohazard 4
and rename it to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARECAPCOMResident Evil 4

5 After that, use the EU patch and enjoy the updated game :)"



Nice one and if anyone had trouble installing the asian to euro patch , removing the game.exe and movie folder worked for me and the patch installed fine. Registery edit and put on the official patch and the graphics update is done... just need mouse aim now :)

Did more lurking and came up with this so good luck guys.

This is whats included:

I needed to uninstall and reinstall BIO4 to the proper location yadda yadda.

I downloaded the Asian version when somebody here posted that it was out, but I never even burned it to a disc because it looked so horrible. Even worse than the ps2 port!

I'll have to grab it again and try this patch out. Anybody know if you can use the 360 wireless controller on a pc if you connect it with the play and charge kit? Otherwise I guess I'll have to hook up my old xbox type S controller for it.

Okay, so I found my old asian version, patched it to european, then ran a cracked patch. Everything is working fine now, but I'm trying to set up my controls.

I'm using a xbox type S controller with XBCD drivers and I can control the game fine, but is there any way to reconfigure the button mappings? Nothing in the in-game control settings menu to change them. I'm playing around with the setup utility, but I don't think its working right.

The profile is set to a XBCD xbox gamepad controller and it doesn't detect any button presses or stick movements at all. I can't seem to change any of the mappings and there isn't a blank profile to set up however I want.

I mainly just want to move the ready weapon and ready knife buttons from black and white to the triggers...
