I love seeing movies at the cinema. No matter what home theatre setup you can afford, the cinema is another thing altogether.

Not to mention that if you could afford a badass home theatre setup and you used it to watch movies downloaded from the internet, you would be kind of silly :)

I can't stand the quality drop from watching downloaded movies. Hell, even DVD screeners look like crap anymore and a DVD5 of a DVD9 looks like shit, too. I've been completely spoiled by blurays :(

Going to be seeing Spiderman 3 in theaters once the crowds thin out a bit. Can't wait to see Sandman on the big screen. He's always been one of my favs.

I can't stand the theater. When I watch a movie I want to be alone. They always have the sound volume turned up too high also. I never found the video quality to be very good in the theater either. Granted, I havn't been to one in quite a while. As for surround sound; that's a novelty concept in my opinion.

Can these movies PLEASE stop fucking around with the old stupid fucking enemies of Spiderman? The series has come a long way and since they're already taking every liberty in the book why don't they cut out bullshit like Sandman and give me a full, unadulterated Venom movie? Like they did with Doc Oc? Except without the stupid, fat, white guy?

You know what all Spiderman's early enemies all had in common? They're fucking retards. Let's get the Vulture to show up for Spiderman 4 cuz I'm sure that would make a riveting movie.

Myspace emo-Spiderman was teh gh3y and Venom had a grand total of about 15 minutes on camera. Sandman should have taken a fucking backseat to Venom but NOOOOOO we have to fucking dick with Lowell from Wings and goddam Harry Osborn. If you're going to do something then do it right, not half-assed. Either make it the fucking Sandman movie or not. This 'tweener shit they do just pisses me off.

My other major complaint? Biggest public service announcement ever. Like I go to the movies to learn morals. "I FORGIVE YOU, BUDDY! WE'RE ALL FRIENDS AGAIN, HOORAY! THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS HAS SHOWN ME THE LIGHT!" Could they have laid it on any thicker? I was half-expecting the movie to stop and have Toby McGuire say, "You know, kids, I learned something today and that's to treasure your friends because if you treat them bad then they may not like you. Don't forget to plant a tree and visit your grandmother."

Give me a goddam break.

SubjectI'm a big fan of spidey because of his emotional aspect... new Reply to this message

But i gotta agree, the whole buddy shit was WAY over the top. The Sandman redemption was nicely done, but the Harry team up was crap. Not only does that detract from the character's drive but it makes Spiderman look like a fucking pansy. What? He couldn't take on two villains at once? Doesn't anyone remember the goddamn sinister six?
Spidey could take on half a dozen villains working as a team, this movie makes him seem like a bitch.

And i gotta tell you, i've loved how well Sam Raimy has directed the movies so far, but for fuck's sake, could he STOP FUCKING KILLING OFF EVERY MAJOR VILLAIN!!!!!!! Norman i understand, it's cannon, but Doc Ock was wasted and killing off Venom is simply inexcusable, specially when he's such a great character and was so absurdly underused. That was as bad as Tim Burton killing off the Joker, only it wasn't as memorable a scene.

My other gripes:
Emo Peter = bad
Clark Kent hairdoo Peter = good

Give me a fucking break. That's just a huge slap in the face of the audience saying "hey, we think you're idiots and can't grasp the inner conflict of the character, so we created this nifty way for you to know when to cheer and when to jeer." What the fuck, it's a movie, not a goddamn talkshow. I don't need an applause cue. The same can be said for Brock's "teeth". Over the top.

And jeezus fucking christ, i though that the Robo-Goblin was bad, but the Goblin Jr. was a disgrace... Might as well been the green surfer.

I liked it a lot, good overall portrail of the character, but like you pointed out, it's suffering from a serious excess of characters per movie. You don't have the screen time to develop them all and it ends up feeling half assed.

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

I wonder if this was just a setup so that Venom could be more of a major nemesis in the next movie, along with Lizard Man (wtf?).

If he took a grenade to the face chances are he's fine. He may have looked like he was killed off but they could play it like he survived. Remember, Harry took one to the chin and all he got were a few scrapes.
