Meh.

And it looks okay, but horror movies lately have been pretty shitty: Cloverfield. You can't really see much, but if you go here you can see the trailer.

Transformers was excellent. The action sequences were downright awesome, the new redesigns worked out great in addition to the explanation as to why they look the way they do. As far as product placements go, it looks like Michael Bay learned a lesson or two from Spielberg regarding how to do it well (Minority Report's well integrated and logical product placements vs The Island's commercial blitz). Pacing worked out fairly well and the movie was long enough to really deliver the story without cutting anything essential (though I wouldn't have complained a single bit if it were a half hour longer).

Megan Fox's lines are thankfully minimal and they did an excellent job of hiding her atrocious body art. As amazing as all of the other special effects were, that was probably my favorite. I was surprised how well they were able to flesh out the Autobot's personalities, too. Bumblebee is fucking. awesome.

The new JJ trailer looks cool as hell, but it's probably really just some viral Lost marketing ploy.

Rush Hour 3's trailer makes it look like it'll be every bit as unwatchable as the second movie.

I was a bit bummed that they didn't show The Golden Compass' trailer. I really want to see that on the big screen and I can't fucking wait to see how the movie turns out. Just finished up The Subtle Knife and I'm about to read the final book in the trilogy... awesome stuff.

Excellent is going too far. It was enjoyable. At least it didn;t leave me astounded like when people said Transformers cartoon movie re-release was worth a look-see.

No. No, it;s not.
