in the same page of my last post..
i decided to record some old songs..
the antartic adventure song is probably a little over a month old, and the b-wings songs i did about 15 days ago.

none of them are GREAT, but i donīt think none of them suck too.

anyway, if you want to listen and opinion, thatīs some 8-bit love, right there.

http://www.roushimsx.com/tib-one/tibone/mp3/bewang.mp3 - B-Wings : Be Wang
The name is from a pirate cart a friend own (one of those 247238274-in-one, which lists B-Wings are B-Wang, which we made into Be Wang, like a motivacional speech. Know that Be the Ball crap? You turned into the Be The Wang crap.

http://www.roushimsx.com/tib-one/tibone/mp3/iceburn.mp3 Antartic Adventure : Ice Burn
no legatto notes, all stacatto.

anyway.. just posting for posting...

if anyone likes this, better.. if not, feel free to shoot it down.
both are in a "generic rock" style.

SubjectLoved Ice burn, but i though the second part wasn't quite spot on. NT new Reply to this message

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

Antarctic Adventure, I loved that game on MSX by the way :p

SubjectI didn't mean an error, i meant the arrange... new Reply to this message

Not the second loop, but the second portion of the main song. The guitar arrange didn't quite match up the tone of the original. It feels a tad garbled up.

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

Subjectyeah, youīre right on that.. new Reply to this message

the second part (the faster part) is quite verbatim on the original. I learned this song from ear (no tabs, midis or whatever), so i didnīt quite got it down. That and itīs quite a tricky passage to play, at least for me, but i am a sloppy player.
But i donīt think my way sound THAT bad, itīs on key and everything.. heh, but yeah, its somewhat different than the original.
Glad you liked!

and yeah, i had Antartic Adventure on my MSX too. Quite a fun game!

yeah, wish i hadnīt sold my msx, but i wonīt pay a zillion bucks to buy one again.
thatīs point of recording these songs, living and remembering the good games..
also, itīs damn fun to play that on the guitar.
