Hmm national dental care.

So, by that logic in Britain, if Hillary gets her healthcare plan would it be better if I flew to Egypt, India, or wherever for help at a small cost, more resources, and better care? Or, maybe I could just sterilize the old leatherman and do it myself with a Medical Encyclopedia and local anesthesia (slather it in ambesol!) ;)

The government limited the amount they would pay out to dentists who performed work on the NHS (i.e. not privately), so a lot of dentists have reduced the amount of NHS work they do - in some cases to zero. My dentist disappeared completely, and it's not been fun trying to find a new one.

Other aspects of the NHS are better, but a lot of it depends on where you are. When I lived in Oxford (UK), I had excellent dermatology and psychological treatment, but in South London, it's shit.

SubjectThankfully, my government is going the opposite way... Reply to this message

They're pouring money into primary health with territorial basis and are paying good money to the doctors and dentists that are hired, so the system had improved greatly in the last few years. But it's a hell of a lot harder to manage the whole system here because of the sheer magnitude of it given that we have 180 million people living in the country in an area about as big as western Europe.

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.
