People are stupid and there's always some loud group that demonstrates themselves to be so inept that people begin demanding for more government regulation and oversight in those areas. Also the more people take stupid domestic issues to court instead of resolving them themselves, the more the law tries to step in and set up programs to regulate peoples' behavior. The more parents complain about issues instead of dealing with them, the more teachers and soccer moms try to control things and suddenly everything everyone does has to be scrutinized by idiots that villainize anyone who does something wrong (people make mistakes) and instead of trying to be understanding and educational, people are forced into going far out of their way to avoid anything that might be perceived as a misstep by everyone who is shocked into controversy.

Kids don't suddenly have rights and run everything, and there are ways of dealing with your kids but it's going to be on an individual basis and require a lot of attention and there's not a guaranteed way that will make all kids suddenly behave and shit like that, that's not what they do because they are kids. Kids get into a lot of trouble, do a lot of stupid shit, and think a lot of stupid shit, and that's how it is. People shouldn't suddenly be shocked by it and start taking drastic measures though.
