I have gotten in huge debates over vista and the only downfall anyone can argue with me about is windows 7 is supposed to come out in 2010... which not only is far away but who's to say MS won't delay it more.
I love vista. Like others have said things have changed a bit like instead of add/remove programs its now called Programs and Features so its farther down in the list rather then the 3rd icon anymore.
I like the new GUI and the little features it has. Although i don't use a lot of them it was cool to mess around with. UAC is a definate must be removed feature when you install otherwise every program you open it will basically say "are you sure?" then "Really? your definately sure?" essentially making a double click into a triple click issue to open up anything.
Every issue i have had i have either found where the replacement was or found a nice little regedit or something to fix. I will probably never be going back to XP and I will continue to argue with people about how vista is a great OS even though its CPU/GPU intensive.
