If it's any consolation, if I remember correctly, Demonoid allows download of new torrents without being registered. And the tracker doesn't use passkeys or anything, so you can also find torrents that use Demonoid's tracker, and they'll work for you even if you're not registered. Check the Torrent engines at TorrentPond and you'll usually get lucky.
