Ah, it's really good. I'm surprised there isn't a much bigger deal around this game, maybe marketing dropped the ball. The Wii is starved for games that make great use of the controls like this. Maybe it's lost in a sea of shitware like Ninjabread Man. There's a lot of garbage on the DS as well. What the hell is Nintendo thinking, licensing garbage. They should know from what happened to Atari, and what they tried so hard to avoid with the NES.

Yeah it's pretty much exactly like you think. The game is fan service... But hey, that's kinda nice coming from SEGA, instead of running your favorite franchise into the ground for 15 straight years *cough*Sonic*cough*. Too bad it wasn't a full upgrade like Outrun, but it's better than the trainwreck that was Sonic The Hedgehog 2007.

I agree. Gamestop must have been hoarding them too, because recently I went there and saw like 20 copies on the shelf (didn't check the price since I have it).
On GCN, Mario Kart wasn't worth the price so I had to wait for the Wii to come out for them to drop the price on it. I also saw Stretch Panic sit on the shelf for ~ $50 used for eons until finally they lowered it to $10 and then I picked it up. No fucking way I'm paying $50 for that.
Excite Truck is one of those games that I'll never get rid of.
