I decided to start playing FF7 again so I started from the beginning. Last time I played was 9-10 years ago and I couldn't make it past the weapons because I didn't know about Knights of the Round and I was also struggling in other areas because my characters weren't leveled good.

This time around everyone seems to be leveled well (Cloud Lvl37, everyone else Lvl32-35 @ end of disc 1 without me trying to level 'em up) so the past 2-3 battles I fought with bosses that had 10,000HP I was able to kick ass on. Well, initially I got my ass handed to me by that fire thing in the Temple of the Ancients and also Genova in the Lost City (or whatever it's called) but the second time around in the Temple I just used basic attacks on the boss (no magic) and just used magic to heal my team and that went down fast; for Genova I equipped the Water ring on Cloud which made him invulnerable and just healed my other two players while we used basic attacks and our limit breaks.

It seems like when you use magic on bosses that they just give it right back to you so if you stick to basic attacks then your chances of survival are better. Hell, my basic attacks are stronger than my damn summons so for bosses I basically punch and kick my way through letting them smack me around so I can use my limit breaks that do ~1500HP.

Anyway, I think the thing I fear most is breeding Chocobos; that shit sounds difficult but I'm going to need to if I don't want my ass handed to me. I also need to go to Fort Condor but that is some strategy game thing and I don't really know how well I'll do with that.
