That's a nice cat. It makes me think of one my friend just got recently, named it Ash (my suggestion was Frau Meow). That cat tried to climb up everyone's pant leg, and only stopped doing it when it was too heavy to hang on. I think he's going to keep it as an indoors cat, since he's too worried about it being run over. He lives at a busy area where a lot of different transportation methods meet and people transfer between them, and everyone's always too busy to look out.

I saw a cat jump out in front of an SUV at the last second (don't know why it waited until then) and the truck hit it in the ass as it was going across, the cat spun around and then just sat there curled up with its hands on top of its head and its eyes closed shielding itself. I felt pretty bad, but it was able to run off at least, when I approached it. Anyway don't know why I was thinking of that. Hopefully your cat lives a long happy life.

My first cat had a couple of families, and when it got older, it decided to just adopt the other family because I guess they had better food or treated it better. It was a shitty time at my house around then so maybe that's why. I got new cats a while after and they're great, but now I moved out and I don't know if they'll get depressed if I separate them, since I can't take all of them.

Luckily your cat will have a good home (I guess you like cats since you were showing it). One of my friends hated his cat, and it was a miserable bitch. When I was a kid I knew some idiot who liked to throw its cat up to the ceiling and catch it. Or not. Cats can be great, but they live up or down to your expectations. If you always treat it kindly and as if it is smart then they'll grow up well adjusted and friendly. I know a lot of people who hate cats and treat them badly just because they had bad experiences with them, or even just because of how they're portrayed in cartoons and they think they're actually snobby and picky and all sorts of retarded shit because of that.

She's got a super sweet personality. She endeared herself to everyone in the house in a matter of 4 hours. For 3 months old someone spent a lot of time with her. Shes box trained, and she'll only claw her cat condo. I'm worried she's up to something because she's a kitten, but she's well behaved. Hope she stays that way, because she already knows she's gonna be spoiled rotten.

Still haven't picked a name yet. She's not fierce enough to be an Isis. I want to name her after an art reference, historical character. or a kind of candy.

Heheh. That's cool. I spoil my cats and they're still well behaved... They all sit far away from the dinner table when we eat, and they even don't eat out of each others' bowls when we feed them. I hear that keeping food out all the time is the best option because the cat will just eat as much as it needs. We didn't do that and they will go after anything when you're not looking, but they know better and when you're in the room they'll be innocent and you won't know until they puke up something later. I still give them food from my plate heh. Cats can be pretty loyal too, one of the cats follows me everywhere in the house. But it's weird, it seems he's always looking for something lately. Maybe because he knows people are missing from the house, pretty much everyone's moved out. He always wants to go in the rooms with closed doors.

and I love them for it! I've got two of them, with very different personalities.

One (the guy) is a total food whore. He would go and sprawl himself in front of any guest in the house in the remote hope that he might get some extra food. He's too macho to do any real hunting (think: Lion) so if he sees some stuff moving he'll just look slightly interested. Other than that he's aloof all the time, except about once a day where he gets some kind of weird vibe and comes to me all purring wanting to be scratched on my lap. He'll enjoy that for a while and then suddenly realize he's acting all gay and will try to bite me if I keep doing it. At least his appetite is a good indicator of his health. If he doesn't show up running whenever I touch his food bowl, I know I need to call the vet. His secret move is that he kind of figured he can open a (badly locked) door if he pushes, so when he's really hungry he'll start banging on my bedroom door with both paws.

The other (girl, siamese) is a little princess. She's so sweet that even mad she'll never bite, and if she's annoyed enough to want to scratch, if she does it to a human, she'll do so without getting the claws out... extremely cute. She's also very sensitive - she hates new environments and will take a few weeks to get used to a new place if we move. She is a hunter though - she'll go after anything that moves, regardless of what it is (flies, cockroaches, lizards...). Only problem is that she'll hunt too much crap and upset her stomach, so she often vomits all over the place [to the big pleasure of the other guy who will come AND FREAKING EAT IT]. On the other hand she absolutely loves me and although she doesn't like much to be held, she'll hang around me almost all the time when I'm home.

Yeah so cats are greedy, snobby, and all proud. But I know it's just one big act.

My cats will just notice anything new in the house, and look through it to see if there's any food in it. We had to put the garbage in a cabinet with magnetized door clasps so they couldn't go through that. They'll eat plants we bring in the house, and then you'll see little grassy looking vomit patches later on in the day. If there's a package, no matter how well sealed it is, most of the time if you leave it alone and come back in a few hours the package will be chewed through...

Shit, one of my cats will eat earplugs or rubber bands so I have to hide all those. You can't leave rubber bands from flyers in the mail around. She ate one once and then had to be operated on because it was blocking her intestines. Earplugs are mighty tasty I guess :P

Oh man, I forgot about this, one thing I heard was that if you give tuna to cats enough, they will start refusing to eat anything else because they will be so addicted to it. It's like crack for cats I guess. I never really knew that, nor that chocolate was poisonous to most animals... I think I may have fed my previous cat a bit of chocolate ice cream one time :P

That's pretty funny, I wonder if he just wants to play. One of my cats, if you try and touch him in the hind leg on the side (I guess at the hip), he will try to bite you. When he was young one of my family members would try and piss him off by tapping him there and aggravating him until he would spin around and try to bite them. So you could be petting him and then all of a sudden he will go nuts, if you go near that spot.

Heheh. Unfortunately I heard outdoor cats (don't know what yours is) will be less likely to show signs of being sick because outdoor cats don't want to show their weaknesses. Even then, one of my cats (which stays indoors) showed sickness by seeming lazy and wanting to just lie down most of the time. He even ate most of his food... But he needed antibiotics in the end. Poor guy, runt of the litter.

Haw!! One of my cats is tall enough to reach doorknobs and knows how they work, he just can't turn them. He'll start jiggling the doorknobs and that's how you know he's there. It's pretty fucking scary sometimes when you don't expect it! Luckily we don't have the kind of doorknobs that are like a handle. I bet he could just let himself in and out of every room that way.

Man I got a cat that will just run away and hide behind the dryer until anyone leaves that's not part of the family... And another one that will try and molest strangers practically

Man I never heard of people before that like cats, everyone I know practically hates them outside my house. It's nice to see since I never knew so many cats had happy homes.

My cat is like that.
She is pretty big, and figured out how to work the handle-like doorknobs, she would jump and hang on it, and force itself so the door would open.
We had to change all the doorknobs, now we use round ones, but she still tries to grab them. Itīs cute, when it's not 3 in the morning.


My cat is crazy, she likes to run around for no reason, but it is extremely needy sometimes, so she came purring and spend a good couple of hours on someoneīs lap.

And she is also a hunter. likes to eat anything that moves (or not).
i heard they eatplants to force vomit to get rid of furballs, but i donīt know if itīs true, makes some kind of sense, i guess.

I walked in the room last night where I left a window open, and my cat had scaled the screen. That behavior has to stop because it's a 2 story window, and I don't want her to go through the screen

One of my cats is pretty fucken heavy, (although he's quick and plays a lot, he's just strong and heavy) and used to try and climb the screen door, one day he was pouncing at something he saw outside and took the whole thing down heheh...

My previous cat though had jumped down from the second floor balcony at one point when he was being watched while on vacation by a family member, I guess he wanted to get out at their house and felt trapped or something (came back the next day) but he was ok after jumping out, even when landing on a driveway.

I know you don't want your cat falling out the window by accident! But I think they would be ok, they go in trees and all that...
