Mon/Tuesday comes the recreation of Dragon Quest IV for the DS. The 3D overhauls and rewrites of FF3(great) and FF4(good too) are nice if you're into RPGs.

If you like strategy/rts type stuff you can't beat Anno 1701 as it's like Caesar II/AOE for the PC and then there's the DS version of Civilization Revolution whcih is the same game as the others minus 3D.

The system is pretty damn good with FPS games like Brothers in Arms, Call of Duty 4

Action wise you got NEW SMB(SMB5), Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fate

If you're into those old things like Shadowgate, those interacting story type things both Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk (same maker) are outstanding.

I'd suggest looking those up for starters, but also this list of random stuff is good too:
- Clubhouse Games
- Electroplankton
- Star Trek: Tactical Assault
- Super Dodgeball Brawlers
- True Swing Golf

I agree entirely with all the RPG, Action, and Point-N-Click Games that VmprHntrD mentioned. I'd also like to add that "Guitar Hero: On Tour" is pretty fun (though it does get more difficult to five-star in the later levels than the console GH games and Rock Band.) Another Point-N-Click game that looks like it's going to be good is that "Time Hollow" Game.

New Super Mario Bros, Kirby Canvas Curse, Phantom Hourglass, Ninja Gaiden, Contra 4, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Final Fantasy IV, Tetris DS (if you feel like you don't own enough copies of Tetris), Brothers in Arms, Legend of Kage 2, Dragon Quest IV is coming soon, then DQ V and VI and IX some time down the road... Final Fantasy III is ok, but crazy grinding needed to kill that RPG. Get Mario 64 DS if you are a die-hard Mario 64 fan, it's very interesting... Trauma Center DS if you somehow avoided the Wii game...

Also get a homebrew cart and put ScummVM on there. That opens up a whole library of great games.

About Guitar Hero I had that, but I left it off the list because the game literally is painful to play for most people. The shape of the grip combined with the DS causes you to have to grab it really oddly which feels like it separates the cartilage and bones in your hand after a short bit of time and gets painful to continue. The grip itself anyways is awkward and has no securing mechanism and when rocking out can fairly easily slightly come out of the GBA slot causing the game to lock up until you hard-restart it. It's a good game, but the grip is a whore, so you may want to try before you buy perhaps using a USED copy at Gamestop you can take back within a week.

It does get quite a bit difficult to hold, yep. It's like they want your fingers to be perfectly straight, except our fingers aren't perfectly straight, so it causes your hand to cramp up a bit after extended play. I've gone hours playing it, but I must be a masochist or something. It does feel like it's gonna slip out of your GBA slot, but most of the time it only seems to rock a bit and you have some slack to be able to push it back in further before it locks up your game. But then, I've got the original phat DS, not the Lite, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

While you may not be able to return it to Amazon if you're unsatisfied, it is currently going for $39.96 new right now over there, while a used copy at GameStop is $44.99. Be forewarned that with a used copy, you never know what kind of condition the grip is in. I played it at a Toys R Us Kiosk on the day of release and two of the buttons wouldn't register because of how badly customers had treated it.

Also, CircuitCity has Dragon Quest IV on sale this week for $39.99 + free $10 gift card, essentially bringing the price down to $30.
