Blitz II - Really fun gameplay, pretty interesting storyline, that just fizzles out at the end, bummer. I liked the injuries, the scrotum rupture or whatever it was is brutal looking. I am sad to think this is Midway's last one. Funny side note, last game Mike Vick was in as Ron Mexico, this year he's Mike Mexico and plays as the QB of a state prison, heh.

Gears of War II - Man what a game. You do nearly everything you can think of wanting to do, plus it has great action and even story bits that seem oddly good for the genre. Penny Arcade said the writing was bad, but it was perfect to me seing as the game is basically John Wayne takes on Aliens. I didn't like the closed is look of the first game, but they opened the world up for the second one and it really feels like a different series. The Horde multiplayer map is a blast and reminds me of holding off waves of giant killer red ants in Earth Defense Force II. Fighting off waves of monsters by hunkering down in an old arcade and crouching behind a prize case is just so awesome :) Fooseball machine is a nice touch too.

Fable II- My wife loves this game, simple combat and interesting story and powers. The dog of course is a favorite. I think it's okay but suprisngly glitchy, kids dissapear and houses won't unrent and such. It looks like a decent timesink, but again I think Moleneux(sp?) oversold the concept and has what is an easier Twilight Princess with extra moral stuff tacked on. It's fun but not a legendary game to me.

Left 4 Dead - just bought this yesterday, and despite the fact that it's an expensive mod essentially, it has a lot to love. I have yet to get online, so I can;t speak for that, but the co-op is great. Scary too, lots of jump moments and teamwork in a game. Can't wait to try it as the infected later today.

Finally got to some of the old PS2/DS games too

Lego Indy - It's more of the same, but that's not neccesarily bad. I like the mounts and such. Although you are really playing second bannana as anyone but Indiana Jones for portions of the game. Makes me look forward to Batman. I wish they would do a really strange, adult license with the Lego theme just for kicks. Staw Wars was fun, but maybe Star Trek or Dawn of the Dead or something edgier.

Star Trek: Conquest - Fun but really an ever more simplified Axis and Allies type. No multiplayer though, so it's just pounding the AI and then that's it. If this came out 10 years ago on PC it would be a classic, oh wait it kind of did as they copied Birth of the Federation (I think that was the title) But for $15 who can complain?

Panzer Tactics DS - This game is great and also hard at the same time. I loved the PC version and it's is every bit as fun and also unforgiving. It's a harder advance wars, without as much polish.

Went from gravy train oil field job, dream vacation, then gravy train university job. It's less money but living in Oklahoma you just don't need that much. Plus the wife kicks in at around the same so it's just a good case of being fiscally responsible, and just really lucky with houses and such.

I used to think all it took was hard work but lucky breaks make the world go round, don't let anyone tell you any different.

And I am dying inside paying full price for this stuff anyways, best Buy has a 60 gig 360 on sale for $299 with 4 games for their Black Friday special and I can't wait to get one and lovingly carress the warranty, if you know what I mean :)

And yes this actually a story with Vampires and shapeshiting Wolfmen fighting over a teenage girl. I tease the girls in my life mercilessly over this, it's so cheesy and yet they are so hooked.

Castlevania had a better vampire story.
