SubjectQuestion on powering on a computer Reply to this message

When I turn my MAME machine's power supply on, I want the motherboard to start the system without the need of pressing a "power on".

I want to flick the one switch and have the system start. How do I do this? I have an IBM NetVista 8305 mobo (2.8GHz, 1.25 GB RAM installed) in my MAME machine. I've rigged up an external switch to start the machine up (it functions the same as turning the power supply on). I flip the switch and the Well Fargo monitor and the speakers turn on. The computer, however, fails to start beyond a CPU fan running for about 1-2 seconds. I'm certain it's waiting for me to press the "On" button.

How do I bypass this?

TIA...
