SubjectSo I've been thinking... new Reply to this message

Lately I've been thinking about finding a gig overseas. More specifically trying to land a gig with either Ethaid or Akanik's (spelling) direct entry FO program. Granted I'll have to leave the US. And yes I'll be taking a gamble trying to accelerate my plans for the Cunt Arse booze tour. But, to be honest I really do not give a shit about my office job any more. And I want to try to get back to doing what I want to do. And besides its not like the US airline industry is doing that hot anyway.

Any thoughts on this. Or am I being crazier than a soon to be impeached Illinois governor.

If I wasn't married now then I'd probably be trying to find a way to get around more, heh.

Which kind of explains why I can afford some of the toys I tend to buy.

So yeah I'm pretty much have no ties however. If I do apply for these positions the training is going to be very tough. For example for the Ethaid position I will have to start from square one as the ratings they use are JAA and not FAA ratings (for example most of Europe goes by the JAA system). Also the down side with working for Akarnik air is that country that I would be based out of has some state department warnings. However the rewards for going though the training again in the case of Ethiad, or going to a place that might be as dangerous as Jersey would be worth the hard work.

With that said I'm here's hoping I don't cause a international incident :).

True that, I actually remember years ago I had the same thoughts before I moved from Podunk Nebraska to Omaha. And things kicked ass shortly after.

So with that fuck the risks. I'm signing up. Then I'm going to fly my ass to Brazil and steal you women to use in my Sky Hoe ring.

Oh and I guess you could be like assistant sky pimp or some shit.

If your environment limits what you can do, then changing the environment by moving makes sense.
Just keep a way to come back home (e.g. keep a little money aside for tickets/move) and you'll have a controlled risk - i.e. if it doesn't work out you can return to where you were.
