Hated this game when I downloaded the demo. Couldn't even connect to the EA servers for 2 or 3 days. Read a couple reviews, took a chance and bought the full version without playing anything more than the tutorial.

Took a few attempts to connect to a game, but it ran pretty well that night. Next day, I get occasional lag spikes and my 360 started freezing. Like a hard freeze where I have to get up and hit the power button to turn it off. Left a bad taste in my mouth and was starting to sour on the game.

Played 4 matches today and they have been perfect. Happy with the game now. The 360s hard freezing was appearantly due to severe packet loss from some of EA's data centers. They fixed everything on their backend, which is GREAT because if they had to do a title update, I think it would take at least a month to get certified.

Sort of on the same topic, is there still a community for BF 1942 on the pc? I tried BF2 on 360 and didn't like it. Same goes for BF Bad Company. But I see the 1942 Complete Collection for $10... Not thrilled about the prospect of getting back into pc gaming, but I'd give it a shot for $10 if there are still a good number of people filling the servers.
