And amazed that after all of the years that have passed in the movie series, the characters still don't aim exclusively for the heads of the zombies. Zombies advance, they get shot in the chest, arm, foot, etc. Romero's creative quality control is lacking.

You actually see recurring zombies in multiple scenes. If you were to shoot them in the head and kill them, you wouldn't be able to tell that they are evolving.
