I gave final fight double impact a spin last night and played through it twice. I LOVE the arcade bezel combined with the CRT filter. It really gives you the feeling of playing on a cabinet. The multiplayer defaults to letting anybody drop in on your game at any time, which is really cool. That feature really captures the arcade feel moreso than any other remake/rerelease I've played. On my second game last night, I had 3 players join in what I started as a single player game. One dropped out after a couple minutes, one finished a level then dropped, and the third guy played several levels and finished the game with me.

I haven't had that happen to me in about 15 years.

Emulation seems spot on. Only odd thing I've noticed is Jessica seems to be absent from the opening. I've picked up beer, but haven't found liquor yet. Poison is still a chick and the bathroom doors say "sex" all over them. I just wish players couldn't attack eachother. I always hated beat em ups like that :/

Is that for the PS3? I can't imagine the PSP playing it, although there is an emulated version of it on the PSP Capcom collection, but I can't remember if it was reloaded or remixxed?

On the booze issue, I found several bottles of whisky. I loved that game when I first played on the snes and still do, it was the first beat em up I enjoyed and played tons after that. I never was a fan of double dragon, but this rocked, it was like the original beat em up to me.

Finished it twice, once with Guy, I had to since we share the same name eh, then with Haggar. In a few minutes I'll beat it with Cody. Also finished Magic Sword once but I never really liked it, played it for the achievements.

Oh and how about the music? Those remixes are awesome! I would have liked updated graphics like they did to super street fighter 2 turbo but at least, they did the music, just hope they release more games like that.

I'll download the demo and I probably won't like it. If I can't get a perfect 4:3 clean image I'm going to be pissed and if the remixed music is nowhere near as awesome as the SegaCD music then I will be pissed. :D

I checked out the demo, the option to have the proper aspect ratio was nice, even when zooming it maintained proper aspect ratio and filled the screen better and having no filtering is also nice but it comes out a little rough compared to if I were to see it on an emulator.

The arranged music is of course better-sounding than the old FM music but it sounds bland and flat compared to the SegaCD version.

Not sure on 360 but PSN has DRM, requires net to fire up the game, and only works on that account unless you go into the buyers acct first and keep PSN logged in when going to others.

Fuck that, off my list. That's just as underhanded as assassins creed 2 PC's bs of a full time connection or fail.

I'm glad I have that on the Capcom pack for my PSP.

Just insert the UMD and play the freaking thing!

Wanna bet those downloads will all be infected with that DRM next?

Sounds kinda silly, why would they lock it down? Is it easy to steal stuff on the PS3?
