You know I never noticed that, always felt the SNES one was the only honest game of the lot. 50cc you could lap em, 100cc you could get like a 1/4 to 1/2 lap ahead, but on 150cc you had to really fight to keep first, but it wasn't just everyone only trying to spank the human driver. N64 was about the same, little more cheapy stuff with rubberbanding but it wasn't pure hate. The DS one though despite what Bryzian says I can't see it after the amount of tries I gave it with different drivers/karts it was the same cheap result (3-7 pick on me in 2nd and 1 always a couple seconds ahead with like endless boosts.)
