SubjectWhy don't more emus support 7z? Reply to this message

Only a few NES emus I've looked at support merged 7z sets. I couldn't find a single SNES or Genesis emu that worked with them. Bleh.

Amazingly, the *Wii* port of SNES9x works with merged 7z files AND can load from a network shared directory. Why don't any of the pc emus do that?? Is it just to stick it to "ROM hoarders"?

I must say that the Wii version of SNES9x is pretty great. Not a whole lot of filter support, but it runs full speed, plays on your tv, and you can use a (sorta) wireless classic controller. Plus SRAM, savestates, and cheat support. It's great! I just wish the Super Famicom classic controllers could be found for less than $70 :(
