I haven't had much time to play with it yet but SF4 ran on WIN7 64bit, Raiden wouldn't run probably because I didn't rotate my monitor and I think I tried Chaos Breaker but it didn't run. I'm wondering if I need an XP installation to make everything work properly.

Haven't tried SF4 because I'm not too cheap to spend $7 on the PC version of it I already have it on PC. Gigawing Generations, Raiden III, Raiden IV, Tetris Grand Master 3 and King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match all work perfect from what I could see.

I was mostly interested in seeing how the TypeX->PS2 ports differed, and there's some pretty biggies in there. Gigawing Generations is so god damned watered down that I can see where all of the complaints came from...I enjoyed it on PS2 back when it came out despite being pretty simplified from the earlier ones, but god damn, the arcade version is SO. MUCH. SEXIER.

I still don't like Raiden III, probably not going to try Raiden IV (you can bet your ass that I bought the Raiden Fighters collection on 360, though. Holy shit were those games great), and KoF98UM is a blast no matter what platform you have it on.

Was thinking about checking out Chaos Breaker but it doesn't really seem like my kind of thing. I recall hearing some major differences between it and the revision on PSN.

Hopefully Battle Gear 4 and Half Life 2 Survivor seep out of the woodwork sometime.

I bought two copies for PC, SF4 and SSF4 for 360 and I'll probably buy AE from Steam, I've never played the arcade version.

I'm going to stick XP on a box and play with it. I used the taito config EXE included with the loader to configure my arcade stick and in SF4 I have difficulty jumping diagonally. Do I need joy2key or something?

I'm guessing a lot of these games run on 4:3 CRTs because the Chaos game was really ugly and same with another one I played.

Not really any difference on XP but I'm wondering if you had some kinda adapter if you could just run the game without that launcher workaround.

I launched Gigawing and Raiden fine. Is Raiden a vertical shooter? In XP I had to manually set the resolution to 1280720 to get SF4 to run and I connected two PCs with a network cable (directly together in crossover fashion), gave them IP addresses and played myself in a network game of SF4, heheh. I rage quitted on myself and it tells you to call the staff when one machine loses connection.

Wonder if KOF98 works like that.

I love that I can rotate my monitor. I hate that all of the games rotate clockwise instead of anti-clockwise (like my monitor). FUCK.

Thank you, nvidia control panel for saving the day.
