<$3 on Steam for both Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII.

If you haven't gotten a chance to play them on the Xbox Live Indie Game channel, then you're totally missing out. They're tributes to 8-bit (BoDVII) and 16-bit (CStW) jRPGs like Dragon Warrior (BoDVII) and Phantasy Star (CStW) but with all of the fat and fluff cut out, gameplay streamlined, pace sped up, and some genuinely funny writing. There's references to all sorts of classic jrpgs throughout both games, some references more obvious than others.

They're both fairly short (like 6-8hours each), but for less than $3 for the bundle, it's a fucking no brainer.

I don't know what it is about them, I just can't seem to enjoy even the best of them. Last one I tried was Chrono Trigger. Booted it up through an emu on my Droid but I just can't put it in gear and really play it.

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

I bought them, for under $3 2 funny RPGs are a no brainer.
Anyways, I wouldn't want Cthulhu tearing up my X-Men #1 if I didn't buy the game! ;)

The new and improved King of Lamers 2003!

I read that the average indie games makes only $3,800, and these two were some of the best and didn't break $50,000 each. Hopefully Steam will give them money they need to make theior next ones.
