SubjectPS2 Month Continues - Ty 2: Bush Rescue Reply to this message

A different beast from Ty 2. Camera is much more stable, game design is more linear but provides far more variety in gameplay styles, graphics are a hell of a lot better.

In fact, this game will probably bring your computer to its knees. On an i5-2500k running @ 3.4GHz, it drops to 80% speed at times. You can boost it up a bit by enabling all of the speedhacks, but it's still a title that really needs to get some specific EE-related optimizations.

Fantastic game. I can't recommend it enough.

I'm sure you've already played through it, but for those who haven't, it's an excellent puzzle/adventure/platformer.

Plus it runs perfectly in the latest PCSX2 official release.

I love puzzley games, but I thought the escorting+combat side of the game was really obnoxious and cumbersome :(

The battles aren't that bad.

They always end. You just have to beat enough bad guys to get past it then the room will be cleared (unless you have to go back through for some additional event and you get to fight another round of baddies).

Easiest way to win is to hold hands with the girl the entire time and drag her around and stick around the black portal that they try to drag her into.

That way you can still pull her back out if you get hit.

Could be about Ico, could be about the weekend I spent in San Fran.

Subject1400x1050 monitor + Imageshack new Reply to this message

Imageshack shrinks them a bit, but even then I'm only doing 1400x1050, so it's not nearly as impressive as you'd pull off of a multiscreen 3840x2160 setup...unless there's some way to get it to output in that across virtual displays? I'd be willing to give that a shot regardless of the speed just to get some stupidly beautiful shit going on.

I'll play with google and see what I turn up.
