I've been playing Sonic Generations a little bit at a time and today I was getting frustrated with how slow Sonic maneuvered; I think by this time I was done with most of the second area. I unlocked some stuff so I went back to the beginning of the main map area and remembered being told something about gaining a skill. I stop by the shop and realize I should have been buying and equipping skills that make Sonic faster.
