This thing is fucking awesome. Thanks for the heads up MHz; I was going to go with the 64drive but this was a good $80 cheaper and does everything I need (though the 64drive apparently is a bit faster on loading and it's got a some more flexibility in there).

Played around with loading and bopping around a couple of different games just to see it all working. World Driver Championship, Last Legion UX, Pokemon Snap, Battle For Naboo, and Neon Genesis Evangelion all worked like a boss.

and Eva is still a shitty game.

Awesome. Is there any limitation to it? Are there games that don't run true to there OEM equivalent?

All work and no play makes me..., well, you know the rest.

And yes, it's fucking awesome.
Perfect little beast.

Mine was 85usd shipped to Brazil.
Top-notch stuff indeed.

It initially had issues with Jet Force Gemini, Banjo Tooie, and Donkey Kong 64 due to copy protection, but those are all cracked (and done on the fly by the ED64 now!), so the only non-working game is the Japanese N64 version of Animal Crossing (due to the internal real time clock in the AC cart). No big loss there, imo.

Not for the faint of heart, but the RGB mod is pretty sweet.
Have not tried it myself though (got a JAMMA rig that gives native RGB).

You will then need an upscaler to get it to display in an LCD TV or modern monitor.
I made a little compendium here, after spending about a month debugging issues with a cheapo chinse upscaler I bought.

Now resisting the temptation to go for something better.
There's a super sweet japanese upscaler (xRGB mini framemeister), but its price is very sour (500 bucks!).

Dog, I ain't made of money! RGB is for rich people and/or people good with working with hardware. :(

If my electronics skills were worth half a shit, I'd totally try going the RGB route, but I'm not remotely where I need to be so I'd have to pay through the nose to buy the stuff I'd need to get an acceptable result.

:'(

Last SNES I bought was $5; I'm not even sure many of them are around anymore but at that price I'd be willing to buy maybe 4 or 5 just to learn how to make RGB work.
