bsnes again gets snubbed due to byuu's inability to comprehend the correlation between program accessibility and and user adoption rates of standards.
Perhaps if there was more emphasis put into making the program as friendly, logical, and easy to use as SNES9x, then it'd be getting the casual recommendation rather than the constant snub. It's a fantastic program, but one that is held back due to his insistence of not compromising his vision. Well, mostly. He has made some regressions to his master plan in the name of usability in the last year or so, but I think that's in part because of the sharp drop in adoption rates among his own ultra niche crowd of users from some of the directions he's gone.
If nothing else, his work has been instrumental in making SNES9x better, which is pretty cool
