This is quite easily one of the worst PS2 games I've ever played. Cauldron has a solid track record of being one of the worst Eastern European FPS devs to manage to scrape by (and for that, I respect the hell out of them) and
Birth of a Nation A Nation Divided does nothing to improve their image. It's awful in so many ways that I actually encourage others to check it out just to more thoroughly enjoy the way other games succeed in handling weapon design and balance, level and encounter design, dialog writing, voice acting, scripting, user interfaces, and relatively low poly modeling. This game does not do any of it well.
In a lot of ways, it's the perfect digital representation of a bunch of middle aged overweight Civil War reenactment actors hamming their way through a faux battle.
Runs fine in PCSX2 so far.
