If somebody told me about this, I'd have thought it was a joke.

It's a WAV file you play from a PC plugging it into an oscilloscope,
and you get what you see on the video. Mind blown.

Definitely something worth looking at.

What's not clear for me is: is the same wave drawing on the oscilloscope also producing the background music? If that's the case, I want to know how.

Becauase the effect you see on the screen upon snaredrum hits could make you think so, but I can't figure out how you can both play the music you want AND draw the X-Y picture you want with the same wave, too many constraints...

But again, my math may be failing me...

The WAV file has four channels of sound, the graphics (X and Y) are controlled by the front stereo channels, and the music is provided by the "rear" two stereo channels.
A trick, but a pretty neat one :)

Makes a lot of sense, I guess they used the ubiquitous black plug for rear speakers jack...
