So, it IS possible to load files on Saturn without the Cd Drive.
As someone who is on his 3rd Saturn (first one the cd died, the second one, i have no idea, it doesn't output video anymore)
this really interests me. :)

I figure that with all the progress he has made, he's done all of the hard work, he could probably create a Kickstarter to get funding to manufacture the rest of the product. I imagine it could be something as simple as a PCB with a plastic piece on the end that clips on to the outer shell and holds the USB port. Then the hard drive addition would also need to be another plastic component that sits in place of the optical drive.

So you can use the cd drive OR the usb port.
Also, it would means that you wouldn't have to open up the console, just open the port, stick the modcard in and off you go. As simple as possible.
