all you need is the following:

NEEDED:
1) install direct connect (even if you use dc++ you must have dc for the hub server software)

2) the hub server software, both of which you can get here

3) a fulltime connecton like cable/dsl/t1/....

RECOMENDED EXTRA'S:
1) a good firewall softwall (zone alarm or sygate are recomendations unless you are running it with linux)

2) a separate computer dedicated to just servering

3) an os that you don't have to shutdown 9037459073 times a day. so use 2k/xp or linux with wine


actually setting up the hub is really fucking easy. i had mine up and running with in a minute or two the very first time i tried.
