For C64. Early game, I guess.

Platform, you controlled a man (with a rainsuit, or something like that) going in caves under the surface of the earth, and there were dinosaurs and other funny stuff... I remember clearly that you climbed down walls, and could afford to "fall" from a wall to a lower one, if the height wasn't too much... and I remember something about dinosaur eggs, but I could be wrong...

Does anybody know the title of this game? The pirated version I played was something like "Mission in the centre of the Earth".

Look for "Voyage au centre de la terre".
It's word-for-word translation of the title you mentioned and also the title of a well-known french author, Jules Verne.
I don't know anything about your game, nor the c64 for that matter, but the name made me tick and google seemed to prove me right :)

Well, that doesn't exist. But "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" does! I know, I am dumb and didn't even think of it: my mind was stuck with "Mission" instead of "Journey". Too much studying, definitely :P

I know about the book, I just was doubting that it could be the original title of the game, as the version I played was pirated and sold at the newsagent... looks like the pirates weren't ashamed to use the original title, though :)

Thanks again, I am happy now. I suggest trying it, it's not that bad after all: the multi-item interface is quite original for the C64, the gameplay is smooth and well balanced. And the music is devilish, it will haunt my mind for a while :)

Sadly it's not, it was the first game I checked. Should have mentioned it in my post, my bad. Thanks for the help, anyway.
