Me too. Edit the c64.cfg file found in the same directory as your CCS64 emulator, and find the string that starts with:

$RGBCOLOR0=

Now substitute these values instead:

$RGBCOLOR0=000000
$RGBCOLOR1=fcfcfc
$RGBCOLOR2=a80000
$RGBCOLOR3=54fcfc
$RGBCOLOR4=a800a8
$RGBCOLOR5=00a800
$RGBCOLOR6=0000a8
$RGBCOLOR7=fcfc00
$RGBCOLOR8=a85400
$RGBCOLOR9=802c00
$RGBCOLOR10=fc5454
$RGBCOLOR11=545454
$RGBCOLOR12=808080
$RGBCOLOR13=54fc54
$RGBCOLOR14=5454fc
$RGBCOLOR15=a8a8a8

Much more authentic, IMHO.
