Would anyone be willing to recommend their favorite emulator for this system. I am new to the amiga world and would like to try a few things out. Thanks for the help.

well not true if you don't have a fast computer (say something 1gz or faster).

the sound core in winuae has been fuct for a while now (especially if you don't have a fast computer).

don't get me wrong, i LOVE winuae but winfellow may be your best bet. it has great compatibility too (except no aga support, yet).

winuae has gone feature creep for a while, hopefully those guys get back into bug fixing. :P

I was however using the 1200 Bios instead of the later versions, so maybe that has something to do with it?

i've got all 5 major bios and it doesn't matter (though i mainly use the a1200 bios)

it is a known problem (i lurk on the uae message board often), some with cpu's under 1ghz don't seem to have a problem with the sound but many who's cpu is slower than 1ghz do.

Agreed, my old P3/850 would struggle with the newer versions with choppy sound, so i stuck to an old one back then.

Now after upgrading to winxp the old versions dont work... but i also have a new P4/2gig and the new ones work fine :)

I have major problems with winuae. Can't even run RSI mega demo any more. I have a 1.13ghz processor and if you let the emulator run full speed it whizzes through so fast that the demo crashes. If you throttle it the emulator runs about 50% speed.

It's probably trying to punish me for owning a laptop.
