I'm wondering if anyone else if having this problem. When I load up SPeedball 2 the game runs fine up to the point where a match starts. Whenever I hit that ESC button on the player screen to start a match the game crashes. I'm running Kick1.3 and I know it should work fine because thats how I ran it on my real Amiga.

Works fine here, WinUAE 0.8.8 R7, set up as an Amiga 500+/600 equivalent (like i used to have :)
