Hello,
I am trying to find out the name of a couple of Mac games.
One was a platform game similar to (probably copied from) game on a PC called Aztec. I remember it took place in a Castle, and I think you could shoot bats (maybe a whip?) and it had torches or candles on the wall that flickered)
I'm pretty sure this was in black and white so one of the first Mac's I guess.

The other game was sort of a cross between omega race and sinistar. I think you flew around a vector ship in a vector playing field picking up crystals, maybe, and the baddies chased after you ala Rally X.

Then lastly, if I should happen to find these games, do any emulators for the PC run them?

TIA

Did it look like this? (animated gif, wait for more screens)

If yes, it's Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle.
A sequel, "Return to Dark Castle" is in the works for OS X, but I think it's not released yet.

I'm not sure about this one... there's Crystal Quest but it's a 2D game.
There's also some kind of tempest-like game where you go around planets (the planet screen is similar to the Starfox map ^^).

I don't know... I tried a couple of mac emus a couple of years ago but they weren't very fast. I would be interested in knowing which emulator is good enough for System 9, if any ^^

Thanks!!! It was definitly Dark Castle, now I'll lurk on a.b.e.m and see what shows up.

I wish I could remember more about the other game, it was like a triangle shaped ship, and it was kind of like a maze made out of big boxes and the playfield scrolled in all four directions and you gathered up crystals or something while eluding other ships, can't remember if your ship could fire or not...

Oh well, thanks again for the info though, I think we might even have a working mac classic lying around in storage where I work... :)

Hi..I'm kinda new to mac emulation but isn't the game you are loking for called Bedlam..at least it seems to me it's 'cause I've played that less than a month ago(old magazine with its demo :-P). Hope I've helped somewhat.

I was wondering if you guys could give me a hand on an old mac game. I played back in the day around 1996 i believe. The game was something Realms. I know that was part of the name. Ive been trying to find it on the internet but the only thing i find is "realms of Torment" and "Realms of Arkania" THe game im looking for is an old RPG where you would get a little party together and go out and do quests. You could train in a gladiator sort of thing. You could get money from there. You could go down into crips and fight zombies and skeliton worriors. It had a bestary which was huge! There must have been 300 monsters.

If anyone could help me find this game it would be greatly appreciated.
