I realise this isn't exactly an emulation question, but how do you play really old pc games on modern pc's? In particular Dr Drago's Madcap Chase. I can install it alright and it loads the menu, but as soon as I try to play all the graphics mess up. I don't think it's a faulty game as I am having trouble playing some other older games aswell.

someways :

use a virtualmachine such as vmware.. it will 'emulate' a old pc on the newer one.., but it requires quite a good pc i guess..

buy a old computer to play those games.. they will not have trouble playing on a 50 bucks 486, or a p-66, but you need room for another box, which isnt everyone's case..

depending on the game, you can try playing it in true ms-dos mode, if you're using win9x/me.
since i have never played dr. drago.. i can't specifically help you.. but you may also find good help on the underdogs site.. (www.theunderdogs.org iirc).
