I have a gba rom that was dumped as 128mbit when it should be 64mbit. How can I get the rom to the correct size? I seem to remember being able to split files in half in dos, but I don't remember the command now.

http://www.zophar.net/utilities/ngaud.html

Get NEOFix at the bottom. Extract SPLIT.EXE from the zip file. Go to the DOS command prompt and type: SPLIT ROMNAME FILE1 FILE2

It'll take the ROM and split it into two files, they should come out the same.

Worked perfectly! I should have thought about all those bad neo dumps and the countless redumps when I first was tackling this... That would have put me on the right track at least.

EDIT: Well, it almost worked. I loaded it up and the background of a menu was corrupted and a couple moves caused the sprites to go nuts until the move was completed. Hrm...

Hehe I've written a quick hack for that... ngromfix.exe IIRC... it even appeared in the frontpage of sys2064 at some point. :-) It would even work, because all it did was split a file in half, regardless of what it is... :)

However you should check your ROM for loaders or intros. In that case, you may want to leave a few extra bytes at the end for that...
