SubjectName that NES game! new Reply to this message

Hi everybody.

I know this forum is kind of dead but I thought I give it a try anyway :P

I'm looking for a NES game, it's been a LONG time and I can't for the life of me remember anything except that it was a sidescrolling platformer (what else, lol!) you controlled a kind of medieval knight with a full body armor, a sword and maybe a shield (I'm not sure about the shiled) the helmet of the armor covered the face of the knight. Some of the enemies or bosses were dragons. The most distinctive feature I can remember is that the game had several sequels, like 4 or 5 IIRC. All were pretty much the same, just slightly better graphics, diferent levels/enemies, etc.

I know it's very vague info but hope you guys can help me. Any thoughts?

It doesn't completely fit all of your details, but the best match I can think of is Wizards and Warriors. You were a knight in full armor, had a sword, maybe a shield too. Not sure if there were dragons or not... It also only had a single sequel, Ironsword, which had that FABULOUS Fabio cover.

ANother longshot might be Ghouls n Ghosts (or was it Ghosts n Goblins?). There are several games in that series, but I don't remember any dragons being in the game.

I can't believe it! it's Wizards and Warriors! finally I can play it again. :)

I could've sworn there were at least four W&W games but apparently there are only three (I just found W&W3) oh well, I think it's just my bad memory. :P

Thanks MegaHurtz, you made my day!

There were three Wizards and Warriors for the NES, and there was also one for the Gameboy called Wizards and Warriors X. I own all of them. You could play them at my site, but I'm afraid to give you the link.

Don't worry, you won't catch hell from me! :)

By the way, when you saw a reply from me, did the tiny hairs on the back of your neck stand up? :)
