I can't seem to get it to run on WinXP , is it possible ?

WinXP does not have a full DOS environment. You'd be better off with a windows based NES emulator like VirtuaNES, NNNesterJ, NEStopia, etc... _ _ - - = = Pr3tty F1y = = - - _ _
