Hey all - finally got around to trying out Java at a basic level - I have a problem though, my first program - a basic array search program is limited by the hard coding of a for loop. I want to make it so that the array legnth is used instead of the known ammount of entires...

Heres what I have!

for (int i =0; i < computerarray[]; i++)
{
if (input .equals(computerarray))
{
System.out.print("\t*\tFound record '" +input +"' in Array record[" +i +"]\t\t*\n");
a++;
}
else
{
System.out.print("\t*\tRecord '" +input +"' not found in Array record[" +i +"]\t*\n");
}
}

Now, I know that I am mixing my types here - a string with an int - is tere any way to compare the 2?

Thanks!
