Thanks for testing :-) There are some things I can still do that could speed things up. The uploading of frames to textures in the video card is kind of slow currently. And using the Server VM instead of the default Client VM will make a huge difference. As for your computer locking up and not changing display modes, I suspect your display drivers are screwed.
