Any tips or secrets? I have this Air Raiders cart that doesn't want to play.

I had a few old carts that didn't want to play, and I tried isopropyl too. That didn't work and I said "what the hell" and put a little car brake cleaner on a q-tip and cleaned them with that! Believe it or not, it worked! Smells like hell, but it cleaned the contacts big time.

When a cart is 'dead', use the normal safe cleaners first, though a good bash of automotive/hospital cleaners can often bring the cart back. (scrubbing with stiff toothbrush or steel-wool is good too!)

You'll be pretty gentle at first - but after a while, you'll be using almost destrictive force cleaning carts like the rest of us. Remember though to then clean the cleaner off. You don't want the nasty cleaner on there for good, so use the standard contact cleaner afterwards with a clean rag to wipe away nasty residue.

What we use at work which also works very well is a good abrasive pencil eraser, it brings the edge connectors up a treat, without any messing about with alcohol and gubbins :)
