I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it'll be nice for those DOS-based Sierra games that used the MT32 for music and sound.

edit:

ok I tried it. It seems pretty demanding, notice on the page it says how fast your machine needs to be. I'm running 1GHz, played Quest for Glory 4 and the sound was choppy.

You'll need a file "mt32_pcm.rom" search it in google, you'll find it there.

Oddly enough this instrument ROM file isn't copyrighted but they still don't include it with the emulator. Searching on google should bring it up somewhere, I got it from a .fi site directory listing.

The history section on that site tells how Roland tried to close down the emulator, but the authors stood their ground and in the end Roland backed down when they weren't able to prove their case legally. Just shows that sometimes intimidation doesn't always work with these things, and if you stand your ground, you can actually win these things...

KingGuppy over on the VOGONS forum has taken the changes, fixes and updates from the SCUMMVM development and updated the Windows driver, which is out of date on canadacow's site. The newer version is available on SF.
