You have to add the modes to nv4_disp.inf before installing the drivers. Thats the only way to get lo-res modes with semi modern driver rev. Problem is not all driver revs generate the modes properly the last version i used that works is 61.76.

I've tested the following modes others may or may not work:

240x224 240x240 256x224 256x256 284x240 288x224 292x240 304x224 304x240 320x200 320x224 320x240 320x256 336x240 384x224 384x240 384x256 400x256 416x224 416x320 480x480 496x384 576x432

BTW: the registry change only worked on 3x.xx, series drivers AFAIK.
