Who cares about the roms, its all about the Benjam... er... Status.
Theory: roms of good games don't create politics because whoever releases them gets instant l33t status. For crappy games though, nobody will give a flying fart about them. So there is an inversely proportional tendency to politicize depending on the coolness of the actual game. :-)
