Prepare for the flame war.....

What we have here is an overabundance of mid to late teenage children brought up in an on demand world.

They do not know the work it takes to emulate a piece of arcade hardware, probably 99% of them can't even write a "hello world" program in basic. None are concerned with documenting the hardware. All they want to see is free games. these are the same children who host server's full of ps2 and xbox isos then bitching because their unpaid for illegal copy does not function as the original would, never paying for a game, never working for a living, never producing anything worthy of anyones attention.

You want to play a game full speed? Buy the hardware to do so. Want a version of Tekken 4 that runs full speed and is playable? Check out R.G.V.A.C. and pick one up for around $200 USD. None of these children are entitled anything as they seem to think they are. If someone "hoards roms", they most likely dumped the game and are in possession of the hardware, they have a legal right to have their backup and you do not. You do not own the hardware, which contains the said "hoarded" software. therefore, it being in your possession is illegal. the best way to get the "software" you want is to purchase it and use your own methods to turn those rom chips into something your favorite emulator can understand. The incorrect way is rom begging, and yes...that is what you all are doing. Throwing out accusations of people hoarding the roms for themselves, because you yourself do not have them. They can be obtained, get a job and buy the game.

To those in the anti-Razoola club, he owes you nothing. He asked for donations to obtain and "XOR" the capcom cps2 games. And that is what he did. Yes, the encryption has not been broken, and if it were Capcom would be all over him and all of the emulation projects that are able to execute their code. Why? Because the hardware is still profitable to them. I'm sure some will argue that there is nothing they can sue an emulator author for. My question is. A.)Who has more money? Capcom or the Emulator Authors (including Razoola) B.)Does Capcom know they have more money? C.)Can any of them afford to fight a legal battle with Capcom?
So unless you all want to pay their legal bills, I say Put up or Shut up.

How many emulator authors are tired of being hounded to death by the kids who know nothing except wanting something for free? How many projects have been killed because of these types of people? Retrogames has become a haven for this type of behavior. Yes, the mods may want to keep the board open to free speech, but placing limitations only upon questioning them is no way to moderate a community of this size.

So finally.....

Back off and let them do what they do, or just watch more projects end because of being underappreciated and overirritated.

And of course...blah blah blah..Cps3 this...Cps3 that...Bring it on!

And Ibbo, your are to this board what the FCC is to Howard Stern. A pain in the ass.
